Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between news app interface design features and user trust based on perceptual design theory. The purpose of this study is to effectively improve the user trust of news apps through the perceptual design of the interface, so as to improve the trust of the media industry as a whole. In this study, the three stages of interface perceptual design are divided into "perceived visual appeal", "perceived ease of use" and "perceived usefulness", and the relationship between these three stages and user trust is studied by questionnaire. The relationship between these three stages and user trust was investigated by questionnaire. The results of the study were perceived visual appeal influenced perceived usefulness more than perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness had the greatest impact on user trust, followed by perceived visual appeal and perceived ease of use. In addition, the study found that female respondents valued perceived visual appeal more than males.
